Couldn't agree with you more :/
It really does seem like many of American health organizations are trying to suck as much money out of people as possible and they really don't give a crap about your health or life.
I mean for example Vitamin B17 which can be found in Apricot seeds...
Do you have any idea what they'll do to you if "they" will find you growing and selling Apricots as a cure for cancer?
They know it works, but it will hurt their pockets, so they'll fine you and put you in jail.
That's why many Americans go to Mexico or Canada or somewhere else to be cured from cancer for cheap and fast, and without any deadly chemo-therapies.

It's amazing that despite the amount of benefits that curcumin has, the US lobbyists are still working hard to keep its health benefits under wraps. The cancer rate in the US is 3x higher than China, and almost 10x higher than India but, tackling the sources of cancer would put too much of a dent in profits of not just corporations but the gov, too. For example, my friend was using one of those belt things from and after about 5 years of use, he developed a tumor in kidney. I'm not a doctor, but my gut tells me that the ab belt was responsible... if it was, it would be one of many carcinogenic products that american companies are shoving down our throats.

I have just recently found your blog and absolutely love the posts. Thank you, thank you. I am still .NET programming but can't wait to try these things in Ruby and it is a great help to see such clear examples.

This is a lucky find for me. I am addicted to learning about this spice. My top tips for people that want to consume it are to include it in curries. It doesn't need to be an Indian curry. I add it to coconut cream chicken curry which is similar to ones found in other parts of Asia like Thailand. Also turmeric tea is very easy to make and tasty. Just add some fresh ginger and half a teaspoon of turmeric powder. Then boil for 10 minutes and add some lime juice and sugar at the end.
