In this Article I would like to introduce you to a flowering plant, that somewhat resembles a clover, called Alfalfa. Alfalfa is also called lucerne, lucerne grass, chara, gadab, rajka, or Binomially called Medicago Sativa. Alfalfa doesn’t like to be planted on existing Alfalfa fields, so it is very recommended to rotate your fields with other species or plants like wheat or corn before planting Alfalfa on the same field again. Alfalfa is mainly grown and used for feeding different kinds of animals. Alfalfa Sprouts are very edible for humans and they taste good in sandwiches and salads.

Alfalfa is also considered as an insectary plant because of so many insects that it attracts to itself. To prevent the alfalfa being destroyed by many kinds of insects, some farmers use Chemicals or Genetically Engineered Alfalfa Seeds which are very dangerous for human’s health, but as long as it’s cheaper… you know what I mean :) So, watch out when you shop for Alfalfa sprouts and try to get the Organic ones.

Lychee is a fruit and it comes from an Evergreen Tropical and Subtropical Tree that is mainly found in Asia, Mexico, or South Africa. Lychees are also called Litchi, Laichi, and Lichu. Lychee tree produces beautiful flowers that can be either yellowish white or greenish white. Lychee fruit smells good and tastes sweet. It has a rough and reddish shell that is not edible and can be removed easily. Inside of the Lychee people say there is a Poisonous seed that looks like a buckeye nut. People around the world like to enjoy Lychees in many different kinds of Desserts. People like to enjoy Lychee fruits not only for their good smell and sweet taste, but also because of the high amount of Vitamin C. In about one cup of Raw Lychees people get 226% of Vitamin C, now that is very nice :) but becareful, many candies that are made out of Lychee fruits are artificially flavored or contain high amounts of High Fructose Corn Syrup (HFCS – a very deadly ingredient). Vitamin C extremely supports and improves your immune system, but HFCS (High Fructose Corn Syrup) extremely destroys your immune system, and just because the commercials try to make you believe that since HFCS is from “Natural” corn does NOT mean that it’s healthy. You see, they used natural products to make deadly products just so they could make the foods last longer on the shelves of the grocery stores. So, we recommend that you check out the ingredient list before buying Lychee candy, instead try finding Raw or Dried Lychees without any added poison. The Nutrients in about one cup or 190 grams of Raw Litchis or Lychees are:
- Vitamin B1, Thiamin
- Vitamin B2, Riboflavin
- Vitamin B3, Niacin
- Vitamin B6, Pyridoxine
- Vitamin B9, Folate, Folic Acid
- Vitamin C (Extreme Amount)
- Vitamin E
- Vitamin K
- Choline
- Protein
- Calcium
- Iron
- Magnesium
- Phosphorus
- Potassium
- Zinc
- Copper
- Manganese
- Selenium
- Natural Fats
- Omega 3 Fatty Acids
- Omega 6 Fatty Acids
- Natural Sugars
- Dietary Fiber
- Carbohydrates
- Calories

The Benefits Are good and healthy too, especially because of the high amount of Vitamin C:
- Improves wound healing
- Prevents cells from damages
- Improves gums health
- Improves teeth health
- Improves Immune System
- Protects from free radicals

Jerusalem Artichoke is a Herbaceous and Perennial Plant. It can also be called Sunroot, Sunchoke, Earth Apple, or Topinambur. Jerusalem Artichoke plant looks like a skinny and tall sunflower and it actually is a specie of the sunflower. Jerusalem Artichoke can have yellow flowers on top of it and green leaves on its body, but the root is very similar to the ginger root. Overall, the Jerusalem Artichoke can grow up to almost ten feet or three meters. The Raw Root of the Jerusalem Artichoke has a crisp texture and taste to it, similar to potatoes, and it can be either White, Red, Purple, or Brownish in color. You probably noticed the Jerusalem part in one of the names of this plant, but to tell you the truth, people really don’t know why it is called Jerusalem Artichoke, because as far as we all know this plant has nothing to do with Jerusalem. Also, you see the Artichoke part of the name for this plant, and again as far as we know there is no reason for this plant to be called an artichoke, except that some French explorer noted that the dish that was made with this Jerusalem Artichoke resembled the real Artichoke Vegetable. Somewhere in Europe in the year 2002 this Jerusalem Artichoke was named as The Best Soup Vegetable. Some people more prefer the Jerusalem Artichoke to be steamed than boiled.
