I love eating fresh sweet apricots. Another reason I love apricots is because they are very healthy. Some people get confused between apricots and peaches. Apricots are smaller, less fuzzy and their kernels (or seeds) have a smooth shell. Peaches on the other hand are larger than apricots, and they have much fuzzier skin and their seeds have a really thick and veiny shell. Binomial name of apricots is Prunus Armeniaca from the family of Rosaceae. In Russian language apricot is called Aбрикос, you can pronounce it like this Abreekoss, or something like that ;) Some people believe that apricots are native fruits of Armenia, because of its scientific name Prunus Armeniaca which means Armenian Plum.
