Jerusalem Artichoke is a Herbaceous and Perennial Plant. It can also be called Sunroot, Sunchoke, Earth Apple, or Topinambur. Jerusalem Artichoke plant looks like a skinny and tall sunflower and it actually is a specie of the sunflower. Jerusalem Artichoke can have yellow flowers on top of it and green leaves on its body, but the root is very similar to the ginger root. Overall, the Jerusalem Artichoke can grow up to almost ten feet or three meters. The Raw Root of the Jerusalem Artichoke has a crisp texture and taste to it, similar to potatoes, and it can be either White, Red, Purple, or Brownish in color. You probably noticed the Jerusalem part in one of the names of this plant, but to tell you the truth, people really don’t know why it is called Jerusalem Artichoke, because as far as we all know this plant has nothing to do with Jerusalem. Also, you see the Artichoke part of the name for this plant, and again as far as we know there is no reason for this plant to be called an artichoke, except that some French explorer noted that the dish that was made with this Jerusalem Artichoke resembled the real Artichoke Vegetable. Somewhere in Europe in the year 2002 this Jerusalem Artichoke was named as The Best Soup Vegetable. Some people more prefer the Jerusalem Artichoke to be steamed than boiled. Have you ever seen beautifully colorful little trees by some of the parking lots with little flowers that are either pink, white, or red? Well, those flowers usually bloom in early Spring season. Then after those flowers are gone you can find very little and cute apples. This tree is called Malus, but people call it different names like Wild Apples, Crab Apples, Crabs, or Crabapples. Sometimes these mini apples can taste sour, tarty, or even sweet. We see these Crab apple trees around grocery stores or other businesses because that is exactly what they are used for, as an ornamental trees. In this Article I will tell you all about the information that I found on How to exercise eyes naturally and the steps on how to get 20 20 vision naturally. Dr. William H. Bates, M.D., discovered the principles and habits of natural clear vision, and then W.B. MacCracken, M.D., trained with dr. W.H. Bates. Later, MacCracken taught Natural Vision Improvement in Berkeley, California. Then in 1937, MacCracken wrote a book called, Use Your Own Eyes, and in that book he stated that this Dr. Bates Natural method has been proved, and it is scientific and successful. He also stated that this Natural Vision Improving method requires its students to be confident, receptive, and earnest. You have to set you mind 100% to it. If you’ll be thinking or acting like it’s not totally important, then you will most likely fail by giving up. Before you decide to begin these free eye exercises to correct vision, you must stay relaxed and 100% confident with No turning back or giving up. This Natural dr. Bates eye method is possible because thousands of patients just like you did it all the way and got amazing results. So, if you have Myopia = Nearsightedness, Hyperopia = Farsightedness, Presbyopia = Aging vision, Astigmatism (Strabismus) = An irregularly shaped cornea (Cross-eye), Amblyopia = Lazy eye, Floaters, or some other kind of vision issue, then you must read this article all the way to the bottom so you can make a better decision about the health of your eyes. I also recommend that you either buy or find free info about this topic of “how to get better eye vision naturally”. When I was doing this research, I was getting lots useless and weak information. But then when I started including important names with my keywords, then I began finding exactly what I wanted and needed to know. I’d recommend using W.B. MacCracken M.D. name and W.H. Bates M.D. name with your other natural eye exersising keywords. There are websites that offer classes to fix eyesight of your eyes naturally with past support from dr. Bates. Also, there really isn’t an exact ABC order by which you must go to fix your eyes, it’s pretty much the common sense that you can use after reading and understanding this article or after reading and understanding one of those doctors’ books. Yes, in 1920 dr. Bates wrote a book called Perfect Sight Without Glasses, and dr. MacCracken in 1937 wrote a book called Use Your Own Eyes. You can either try to find it online to buy it or find a free e-book. Below this article I will provide you with the links of where to buy these books or to get them for free as an e-book. Well, Let’s begin with the steps to take in order for you to strengthen eyesight. These free eye exercises to correct vision, are going to have some detailed eyes tips, so you can understand the purpose and importance of each one of these steps. After reading these natural and healthy eyes exercises you’ll be able to come up with your own steps that you will need to do on a regular basis. In other words, when you have time, preferably when no one is looking and when no one can interfere with your eye exercise, that is when you should practice stretching your eye muscles.
1. – Relaxing mentally and physically. Stand straight, or sit straight, or even lay straight, don’t be in a crooked or abnormal position. Don’t let your muscles tense. Take your glasses off if you have them, and try to Not wear them if you don’t have too. When you wear glasses you make your eyesight weaker and worse. Close your eyes and keep relaxing. In your thoughts plan on not giving up with this eye method. Also, if you smoke or drink any alcohol, then you must make yourself stop that degrading and harmful activity. Also, while relaxing, you need to plan on eating healthy, like organic fruits and vegetables, because not only exercise is important for a healthy eyesight but the healthy nutrition too. Just imaging how your life could be better if you would start eating right, exercising right with your body and eyes, and not doing any drugs, alcohol, or cigarettes. You can do this for about a minute of so.
2. – Palming. You can use the palms of your hands to help yourself and your eyes relax more effectively.
- – - a.) Warm up your hands by rubbing them briskly together for like ten seconds or so. Hold the fingers of each hand tightly together.
- – - b.) Gently cover your eyes with your warm palms and not the fingers, left hand for left eye and right hand for right eye. Your fingers may overlap on your forehead. Do not push on your eyeballs, just tightly protect them from the light. If you can put your elbows on you knees or on the table then that would be even better. By doing this you are improving the blood flow in the eye lids and relaxing your eyes by the body heat from your palms. Also, some people believe that Palming can help relax your mind, body, neck, eye muscles, eyes, brain, and retina in the eyes.
- – - c.) Now blink like ten times, not too fast and not too slow. Blinking helps your body provide your eyes with the natural tears that support the health of your eyes.
- – - d.) Stop blinking, keep your eyes covered with your palms, close your eyes and try to look deep into dark and clean outer space with very little number of stars in it. You are trying to refresh and clean of your thoughts and mind from any busy colors and pictures. Some people like to imagine being in heaven, or floating down the slow river in a boat and laying and looking at the blue beautiful sky. In other words imagine something peaceful, quiet, and pleasant for your mind. You can also use your memory or imagination while trying the Palm exercise step. You can do the Palming step from one to ten minutes, it depends on how much time you have available.
3. – Breathing or Abdominal Breathing. This step can be done with eyes either closed or open. You can either stand, sit, or lay for this step too. Just make sure that you are relaxed. Breath in lots of air slowly and with your stomach muscles move your stomach out forward, making it look bigger than usual. Hold the air for a second or two. Then slowly release all of the air out of your lungs and with your stomach muscles pull your stomach back in. Do Not extremely over do it, but do it just enough to stretch your lungs carefully. Sometimes the cells in our bodies need extra oxygen, just like we put extra bubbles in the aquarium to help our fish and its water stay healthier. Some people believe that Breathing can relax the eyes, eye muscles, mind, and body, and it supports the clearer vision.
4. – Shifting or Saccade movement of eyes. Saccades are fast simultaneous movements of both eyes into the same direction. Some people believe that Saccade movements of our eyes can improve the eyesight, and help us get clearer and better vision, even better than 20 / 20 vision, because it pulls extra light into the eyes. Here is how to shift your eyes. Pick an object, let’s say a neighbor’s house or your own. Find four corners of that house (bottom left, top left, top right, and bottom right), and think of them as your stop points. Then start shifting your eyes from one stop point to another for a few seconds. Then, you can pick a window, make the four corners into four points and start shifting from one to another. Also, try blinking while shifting from point to point, that will help your body produce natural tears and improve the health of your eyes. This eye exercise is very important, so try to do it with something that is very close to your face, fifty feet away from your face, and with something that is so far away that you can barely see it.
5. – Central Fixation. Seeing clearer by using the center of the visual field. That center of the visual field should be at the eye level and in the center of the two eyes. For example, if there is an apple tree full of leaves and some apples, pick an apple to look at that is in the very center of that tree. Move your head and neck freely and comfortably and look at that apple carefully. That apple is the Center of the visual field, which in this case is the whole tree. While looking at that apple, pick the four corner points and shift from one to another. You can also try moving the head, the neck, and the body with the eyes freely. This process is also very important because it helps your eyes to see clearer, better, more detailed, and with better colors.
6. – Eye, head, neck, and body Movement. There are two types of movements you can do with your eyes, one is with eyes only and the other one is with eyes, head, neck, and body. First let’s do the eye moving only, without the body moving. Pick a comfortable position for your to be in and move your eyes to the right as far as you can, wait a second, and then look to the left as far as you can. Do this nice and slow like ten to twenty times. Then Look up as far as possible, wait a second, and then move your eyes all the way down as far as possible. Do this too, nicely, slowly and like ten to twenty times. Then, do the same kind of exercise only start from the top left corner of your eye and go straight down to the bottom right corner of your eyes. After you finish that exercise, do the same kind of steps only start from top right corner and go straight down to the bottom left corner of your eyes. After you are done with these steps, roll your eyes beginning from the very top of your eyes and roll them clockwise like ten to twenty times. When you are rolling your eyes, make sure that you keep them as far as possible during each possible direction. After you are done rolling clockwise, then do the same thing only counterclockwise. This exercise supports the stretching of your eye muscles which support a better vision. The second type of eye movements, can be done by moving them with the whole body. For instance, a baseball player looks at the ball, hits it, and then runs after it. He uses his eyes, head, neck, and the whole body. You could also, go to a lake or river, find a little rock, and throw it where there is no people around. While the rock flies and then hits the water you can use your eyes, neck, head, and maybe even the body to keep it in your sight.
7. – Switch eyesight. Use your eyes to switch your attention from a close object to a far object, and then from that far object to even farther object. This exercise step suppose to improve the clarity of eyesight at all distances. Here is how you can do it in an everyday life. Look at the close object, a car, an animal, or a fence, then look at the very far object like a mountain, a building, or a tree that is very far away, then look at the middle object that is between the first and the second objects that you just looked at. Repeat those steps like ten times and then you can change the order of those steps. You can even put your finger in front of your face to make a very close distance object, then look at it and slowly move it towards your nose and keep looking at it, your eyes will cross so that way you can stretch some more eye muscles. Also, you can improve your eyesight if you combine Switching and Shifting methods. While switching to a far or close object trace it with your eyes, and then go to the next distance.
So, I hope you understood all of these important steps to take in order to improve your eyesight naturally. It is very important to try to make it a healthy habit of stretching your eyes more and more on a regular basis. You can even look at it like this, most people are getting sick and fat because of the lack of exercise and because of the bad nutrition. Well, same thing happens with the eyes, if you don’t provide your body with needed nutrition for the eyes or don’t exercise your eyes, then you’ll get either blind or poor vision. Some people and doctors recommend, very carefully and lightly massaging your eyeballs while the eye lids are closed. Always wear eye protective glasses or goggles when working around dangerous particles or chemicals. It’s funny that I found people that support both sides, one side supports letting the eyes be in the sun and the other side tells you to keep your eyes away from the sun, I’ll let you decide what you want to do about that. I believe it’s ok to have you eyes in the sun without glasses as long as you don’t look directly at the sun. Try not to wear the contact lenses for long periods of time, 19 hours is the maximum, then let your eyes relax. If you use any eye drops, read the labels, make sure you know what you are putting in your precious eyes which are not replaceable. And for legal purposes please read the Disclaimer at the very bottom of this website that is in red letters, but do keep in mind that Common Sense is healthy for you, don’t have it, then read the Bible and ask God to give you the right understanding of everything that you need to understand.
Before getting the laser surgery, ask yourself these questions:
- Are you planning to have your current prescription etched permanently onto your eyeball?
- Did you know there are many potential harmful results that are not required to be revealed regarding these surgeries?
- Do you want to interfere with the natural meridians through your eyes, (as stated by an ophthalmologist)?
- Would you risk interfering with natural secretions from your cornea?
- Do you want more eye surgeries later, trying to correct the damage caused by the first one?
- Do you want permanent dry eyes as a result of the artificial edge between the flatten parts of your cornea and the curved part of your cornea, because tears cannot adhere normally to the cornea around the lasered ring?
- Did you do enough research for possible Natural ways of improving your eyesight?
- Does the Laser eye surgery sound natural and healthy to you?

If you are looking for free information and free step by step instructions on How to Oil change a Car, then you came to the right web page. To be more specific, this article will answer the question like, How to Oil Change Subaru Forester 2003? Well, to tell you the truth it is very pretty easy if you compare to the other car oil changes. Because the oil filter and the drain bolt plug are in the most easiest and most comfortable place, which is in the empty, front, bottom, and easy to reach area of the engine. I recommend to raise the car for an easier access. Then, you should get ready the new five quarts of oil and one new oil filter. Most of the cars, vans, trucks, and suv’s use different amount of oil and a unique kind of oil filter, so make sure that you get just the right stuff. Also, I really recommend that you spend extra money and get Fully Synthetic Oil, I get the NAPA Full Synthetic Oil. If you will follow these instructions on how to do an oil change on a car, then it is totally your responsibility if anything at all goes wrong. If you don’t feel confident enough or don’t trust my advice, then please go and find someone else’s or just let some professional and trusted shop do an oil change for you. My oil changes are getting better and faster with every time I do them, but in the beginning it was taking me a while to finish it all up. Some cars, trucks, vans, or suv’s have their oil filters located in the most stupid places ever, which makes your and mine job a lot more complicated and a lot more time go by before you finish your oil change. I hear that some new autos have some weird and even more impossible locations for the oil filter and for the oil draining bolt. So, like I said before, make sure you are confident enough and are going to be able to finish your job all the way. I’d recommend for you to read my whole article before starting any oil and oil filter replacement. Well, if you are ready, confident, and able to do this on your own, then lets get started.
Locate or Find the Top Oil Cap and the Oil Dipstick that helps you check the oil level. On my subaru both of them have the yellow color on their handles. Unscrew the oil cap, clean it and put it aside. Pull out the oil dipstick level checker, clean it and put it aside also. I like to take those off in order to let the engine ventilate better and help it cool down faster, because then the dirty oil will drain easier.

Go under your car or subaru and find the old oil filter and the drain bolt on an oil pan. On my subaru they are located right after the bumper and the radiator and in the very front under the motor. Clean them up a little so it is more pleasant and easier to work with.
.
.
.
.
Get a wide and deep container and put it under the draining bolt and unscrew that drain bolt plug. Please try to avoid any oil leaks on the concrete or on the dirt. Cover the concrete or the dirt with something that can prevent the oil leaking through it. After the old oil is done draining, then clean of that drain bolt and around the drain hole, and then put the drain bolt back in, and carefully tighten it.
.
.
.
Then, move your container under the old oil filter and unscrew the oil filter. Let all the oil from the old oil filter and from its original spot leak into the container. Then Clean very good that original oil filter spot.
.
.
.
.
Get the new oil filter, and open one of the new oil quarts. Since this Subaru has an easy oil filter location and position, then we can fill like 75% of this new oil filter with the new oil. Also, dip your finger in the oil and smear some of the oil on the rubber seal of that new oil filter. We put some of the oil on the rubber seal of the new oil filter because we want it to be easier in the future to take this oil filter off. Now you can put this new oiled oil filter in its location under the engine and make sure that it is nice and tight. So, right now make sure that the drain bolt plug and the new oil filter are both in their locations and are screwed in tightly.
.
.
Here you are ready to put the new oil into the engine. Get a funnel and put it in the whole where the big top oil cap was and Not in the dipstick’s little hole. Then, pour in first four guarts of oil into the engine. Then, put the dipstick in its hole and screw in the top oil cap. Start the engine and let it run for like a minute. Stop the engine after about a minute of runing. Now, check the oil level, by taking out the oil dipstick and wiping it clean with a dry cloth, and then insert the dipstick back into its hole and wait like three seconds, and then take it back out and look how high is the oil level from the very bottom edge of the dipstick. I like to fill the oil until the second hole on the dipstick gets covered with oil. So, if you need to fill more oil, then open that top oil cap and fill in just one half of a quart, and recheck the oil level. When you are satisfied with the oil level, then make sure to put the dipstick in its place and to screw the top oil cap back in tightly.

Today I would like to explain to all of you who are looking for this helpful advice on How to Change oil in car. I will also tell you how to replace oil filter in your car. The pictures that you will be seeing here are from my 1997 Honda Accord. So, to be more specific this “do it yourself” article is going to be on how to change Honda Accord oil and filter. These instructions are for you and you are the one responsible for whatever happens, we take no responsibility of your mistakes or misunderstanding, make sure to use common sense, think before doing anything at all, but the best step of all is to pray and ask God for common sense and for help in any of your job or work. I like changing oil by myself because then I feel better about myself and I don’t worry about the engine, because sometime some professional shops forget to put the oil back into people’s cars, I personally know of people to who it happened. I also don’t trust someone else fixing my car, so if I am able to do it, then I’d rather do it myself. Also, I believe that it is good and healthy for you to try doing some stuff by yourself, (with enough knowledge of course). Well, first of all make sure that the car or the engine in the car is not hot, because usually if the engine was just used then it is very hot and the oil is even hotter. Also, make sure that you have enough of oil ready to be put back into the engine and a new oil Filter. Some cars need more oil and some cars need less, but for my 1997 Honda Accord SE with four cylinders, I’m getting ready five quarts of fully synthetic oil 5w-30 from NAPA auto store and one simple and new oil filter. I usually use total of four and a half of quarts of oil to put back into the engine, that is why I get five quarts ready just in case.
So, let the engine cool down if you need to, and to make it cool down faster I usually open the hood, and then unscrew top motor oil cap which is usually visible on top of the engine. Take out the oil dipstick that checks the level of the motor oil. This dipstick is usually either yellow or orange in most of the cars. I take that oil cap off and take out the dipstick out so there will be better air circulation for when you’ll be draining out the dirty oil.
.
.
.
Next, lets get a wide-mouth open container for the old and dirty motor oil. Then, find the drain plug or the drain bolt at the bottom of the oil pan which is at the bottom of the engine. On my car it is from the rear side of the oil pan. Then, get a ratchet or a wrench that says 17mm on it, or if you have a different size bolt then use whatever size you need to use. After you have loosened the drain bolt, then put that container under that drain plug and if you have to put some kind of covering on the ground so the oil doesn’t spill on your concrete or dirt. When your ready, unscrew the drain bolt the rest of the way and make sure that your container is catching all of the oil. Please try to avoid oil spills, because it is bad for our Earth.
.
.
After the oil is done, clean your drain bolt and put it back in, and then tighten it. Then, locate the old oil filter and unscrew it using your hands or the special tool that you can buy for unscrewing the oil filters. Please try to catch all of the oil while it will be pouring down at the time of unscrewing the oil filter. My oil filter is on the back of the engine. I really hate that inventors didn’t come up with a better place for the oil filter, because on most of the cars the oil filters are located in the way that will make the old oil spill no matter how you unscrew it.
.
.
.
Now clean as much as you can the whole area around where the filter was.
.
.
.
.
.
Then take the new oil filter and open one of the new oil quarts. Then pour a little bit of oil on top of the oil filter thread. Then using your finger, smear or oil the rubber seal on top of that new oil filter.
.
.
.
.
.
Then, screw the new oil filter back into the place where the old one was.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
So, right now you need to make sure that the new oil filter and the drain plug bolt are both nice and tight in their places.
.
.
.
.
.
And now you are ready to put the oil back into the motor. You should get some kind of a funnel to support your new oil pouring, and to avoid any oil spills. Pour in the four new and full quarts of oil. Then, when the car is level on the ground and with all the wheels standing evenly on the ground, check your oil level with the oil dipstick. On my oil dipstick I fill the oil until the second little whole from the edge is just barely closed up with oil. Try not to overfill your engine with the motor oil, because it could make your gaskets on your engine leak. When you are done, remember to put the oil dipstick back in and screw back in the top engine oil cap. Then you can wipe off and clean off any oil spills and leaks that you might have and dispose of the old oil according to your local legal laws and regulations. So, now you know how to change Honda oil.

ADHD means Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and is becoming very popular these days. There are also another name for this Disorder that people sometimes use called ADD. ADD means Attention Deficit Disorder and it is pretty much the same thing but without the Hyperactivity. So, just to clarify this, the difference between ADHD and ADD is just in that one word or term called Hyperactivity. There are three different types of ADHD.
+ First one is called ADHD – Predominantly Inattentive Type, some people refer to it as ADD because its symptoms are mainly related to Inattention issues and without any major Hyperactivity behaviors. People with this problem may have symptoms like not paying attention, not finishing the tasks given to them, not following directions, easily distractful, easily forgetful, careless, disorganized, always losing things, slow responding, sluggish, and not processing fast enough the information given to them.
+ Second one is called ADHD – Predominantly Hyperactive Impulsive Type. Individuals with this type of ADHD don’t have major Attention problems, but instead they are mainly Hyperactive and Impulsive. These kind of people may have symptoms like feeling and looking restless, overactive, impulsive, interrupting others, talking loudly, can’t sit still, excessive talking, can’t wait for their turn, and they are hasty.
+ The Last one is called ADHD – Combined Type which means it is both Predominantly Inattentive Type and Predominantly Hyperactive Impulsive Type. People with this type of ADHD have symptoms from the first two kinds of ADHD issues.
People or Organizations who are obsess with money will try to sell you some expensive drugs to try to treat your ADHD problem, but people and organizations that care about you and the natural and healthy way of living will try to sell you or tell you about the safe way of treating the ADHD or ADD. It has been explored by some professionals and some families that the Toxic, yes TOXIC ADHD drugs with antidepressants and antipsychotic drugs that doctors give to children and adults are very harmful with huge health problems later on. According to huge number of patients who dealt with ADHD or ADD, it really looks like people can treat and cure ADHD naturally, but only if they continue to stay on the right and healthy nutrition and physical activity. Some people were able to see major improvements in their kids just after twenty-four hours or clean and healthy nutrition. Children that have ADHD can improve their grades and behavior dramatically and the adults can continue learning what they wanted to learn and at the same time improve their behavior too. If you or someone in your family suffers from Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder or non Hyperactivity Disorder then you really need to do a very deep research on the internet about the natural ways that you can use to cure or treat the ADHD. It is understandable that ADHD Parenting can be difficult and that is exactly why parents who discovered ADHD in child really need to try to find the safe treatment of ADHD. Lazy or uncaring parents really need to stop being lazy or uncaring, because their choice can harm their ADHD children for the rest of their life. Yes it is understandable that teaching ADHD children is hard or you don’t have the time to do any research about it, but to take advice or drugs from some person who sat in school for four years and then got a white cloth to put on is totally unwise and risky. If you need support on ADHD teaching you can find it online easily or even in your local library. If people who have kids with ADHD would take more time and more patience with their kids, then in school their teachers would have a lot less pressure from ADHD students. Also, just to make sure that we are clear on this, ADHD is not a disease, it is just a temporary disorder that could be resolved with some simple tasks like physical touch, physical exercise, physical fun playing, healthy nutrition, and even classical music. Some of the important rules or ingredients in ADHD Natural Treatment are:
- One tablespoon of Fish Oil per day to improve concentration, memory, and attention.
- Green Tea in the morning for healthy energy and to focus better.
- Chamomile Tea in the evening to calm the nervous system down.
- One table spoon of Organic Apple Cider Vinegar per Eight ounces of Clean water to reduce the anxiety and depression symptoms.
- Replace your Cooking vegetable oil, soy oil, corn oil, canola oil, and animal oils with Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil.
- Replace soda pop, juices and other sweet drinks with clean water or fruity teas without sugar.
- Stay away from white sugar as far as possible, White Sugar is a Tricky, White, and Sweet Way to Cancer and then Death, replace it with raw honey, or even nothing for a while.
There is more advice and helpful ADHD alternative treatment available on the internet, you just need to find time or make time for it. Believe me it is not worth paying more money for some ADHD New Treatment that doctors want to practice on you or your child, because people who did that regret it with tears in their eyes… Want more proof? Check this statement out from a true witness, a mother with a sick child, her statement might make you cry and I am sorry about that, make sure you pull your face away from the keyboard because your tears might drop in there :) anyway, here is her statement from EarthClinic.com:
05/13/2008: Terese from Cedar Rapids, Iowa writes: “ADHD: Daycare wanted to drug my son when he was 3. Want to know the ironic thing? Hillary Clinton referenced his daycare in her book, “It Takes a Village.” I fought tooth and nail. I finally gave in and put him on ritalin, dexadrene (sp), concerta, strattera. These are all of the drugs I tried on him at different times. Needless to say my son almost died in the ER of an overdose. It’s funny because it was supposed to be a “low dosage”. You trust your doctor and do what they say because it is good for you right? WRONG! I didn’t know any better.
I took my son’s life and well being into my own hands. First I had to acknowledge the fact that I needed to have a spine and stop giving him empty threats. I let him get away with anything because I would get to the point where I was just so tired from working all day- I couldn’t parent. I needed a break. I wouldn’t follow through with things, etc. When I did he was just his bouncing self. I finally set rules, followed through, and there were consequences. Do not join CHADD. They are funded by drug companies. They will think you are a freak for not putting your kid on meds. I got absolutely no support there. I got pamphlets on why I should give my kid a pill. I do not believe they are there to support you. They are there to push drugs. Follow the money if you don’t believe me.
First thing I did was watched Dr. Fred Baughman’s video on ADHD. You can purchase that at www.adhdfraud.org – I bawled when I watched it. Completely amazing. It is worth every penny. You might be able to find it free online if you search well enough. You have to watch this video before you do anything else.
#2. I read every page and watched all of the YouTube videos of Steve Plog, founder of www.resultsproject.net – READ EVERY PAGE.
#3. I got my son a lab test from Steve Plog’s site for delayed food allergies. Delayed food allergies are different from your classic food allergies. My son was allergic to everything I was feeding him. Wheat, soy, dairy, eggs, beef, all citrus, peanuts. We had to do research on a wheat free gluten free soy free dairy free diet. No, he was not a celiac but we had to say that so schools would adhere to his dietary needs, but we started packing lunches anyway. You have to change your lifestyle and we did. That is what prompted me to go vegan but that is another story. He still eats chicken and loves bacon. The best book I found for making him goodies like pizza, breads, and cakes was by Cindy Moseley “Great Foods Without Worry”. It was my saving grace.
#4. I read everything on the drugging of children on www.spice-of-life.com – Click on “Articles” and read.
#5. I absolutely cut out pop, all juice “drinks”, anything with Splenda, Sweet N Low, NutraSweet – ANYTHING WITH ASPARTAME. Wanna know why? Because it is cancer! A sweet slow death. Don’t believe me? Go read www.dorway.com and see for yourself. I get all of the drink things from www.steviasmart.com – He absolutely LOVES the chocolate drink. And what do we do without dairy? We drink rice milk and almond milk. Stop cooking with vegetable, soy, corn, canola, and animal fat oils. Cook with extra virgin coconut oil instead. Read up online about the benefits of extra virgin coconut oil. My favorite is http://www.wildernessfamilynaturals.com/virgin_coconut_oil.htm
#6. Find a doctor who does not believe in drugging children (I know that seems hard but they are out there). Look for alternative doctors. Call around and ask around.
#7. You wean your kid off drugs. It is your responsibility. I am not a doctor, but I have lived almost 9 years of hell.
It is against the law for a teacher to reccommend that you drug your kid. If any teacher tells you to get meds. Ask her if she is a doctor. Tell her it is illegal to practice medicine without a license and that she could be fined and arrested for that.
I have slowly introduced certain foods back into my son’s diet. The only things that makes him go through the roof are soy and beef.
I put my son on 2 – 250 mg pills of L- Tryptophan (NOW brand) and give him 2 time released melatonin (Source Naturals) pills every morning. He gets another dose at school before lunch. I pulled him out of regular schools and got him into a private school. He is a normal kid, just like everyone else. He also takes a daily vitamin at night. I have a flourishing 9 year old boy now in the 3rd grade. He also gets flax seed oil from www.omeganutrition.com
Don’t ever let anyone convince you to drug your child. You are the parent and you know what is best. Set rules and boundaries. Kids that are “over active” need structure, routine, rules, consistency, and boundaries. Even kids that aren’t “over active” do. Let your kids be kids but be their parent. If you have any questions feel free to post under me and I will check back to answer them.
P.S. My son in a public school was sent to the office every day. His scores were passing on his report cards. This year in a private school, and last year… he took his Iowa Test of Basic Skills tests. Everything except LISTENING SKILLS were at almost a 5th grade level. So, for anyone to tell me that I am crazy…. you can stick it where the sun don’t shine for all I care. I have living proof that what I did with my own son works. Different strokes for different folks. I do not believe in ADHD. I believe in drug companies making a profit off kids being kids. Follow the money.”
Well… That was a nice helpful article… If you still want to learn more on this ADHD topic, then I recommend trying out this product, just click on its picture -
